My sister and her husband were on a tight weekly schedule to 'get pregnant'. Tried for 2 years.   As soon as they spontaneously broke that, blammo! she was pregnant.  There's no proof behind it, but they think all the stress of 'keeping on schedule' really was a negative factor.

The book, "Taking Charge of Your Fertility," by Toni Weschler is a really good start! It teaches you about charting your cycles, cm, and just about everything you need to know in terms of learning when your most likely to ovulate.

When you see cm that is clear and stretchy like egg white when you first crack an egg means you most likely are o-ing and should do the babydance asap!

I was told by my girlfriend that if I took 2 teaspoons of Robitussin a few hours before doing the babydance it would increase cm and enhance the opportunity to get pg.

I was told to have sex the day before ovulation to up your chances! His sperm usually reaches the fallopian tube and the egg within minutes after intercourse, however, Sperm needs about 12 hours in your uterus before they can actually fertilize the egg in a special process called capacitation. This is the maturation process within the female reproductive tract by which sperm become capable of fertilization.

That's why the best time to make love is the day before and the day of ovulation.   It's all about the timing!
